At Exoticca, we believe in the importance of respecting and preserving the welfare of all animals encountered during our tours. We are committed to promoting ethical travel experiences that align with our values of compassion, conservation, and respect for all living beings.

Don´t pay money to take a photo with an animal. It's better to air on the side of caution and not encourage the potential misuse, exploitation, and abuse of animals for profit.
Animal care (sanctuaries or work animals)
We take animal welfare seriously and hold our local providers to the highest standards.
If you are in doubt that animals are well cared for on an Exoticca trip, please report it immediately online form so we can investigate immediately.
Feeding
While it may be done with good intentions, feeding wild animals can be harmful.
Wild animals have naturally specialized diets.
Wild animals are not used to packaged goods.
Wild animals can become too accustomed to people and become dangerous.
Wild animals might expose you or your loved ones to disease.
What you should do while traveling
Do enjoy wild animals in their natural surroundings, rather than in captivity, wherever possible
Do visit genuine sanctuaries and conservation centers
Do maintain a respectful distance from animals and stay quiet.
Do avoid activities that involve animal cruelty.
Do only ride domesticated animals such as horses, donkeys, or camels and only if the animal looks well cared for
Do respect natural habitats by keeping them litter free and causing as little disturbance as possible
Do speak up if something doesn’t look right (if you see something on an Exotica trip, you can report using the online form.
What you should not do while traveling
Don´t touch, chase, ride or harass wild animals.
Don´t feed wild animals.
Don’t pay money to take photos with either wild or captive animals.
Don't post pictures of endangered animals on social media if you’re tagging their location because this can be used by poachers.
Don’t purchase souvenirs made from endangered species or if they involve animal cruelty.
